About Our Ambrosoli Candy

Ambrosoli is a name every Chilean grows up with. Suny is the creamy caramel candy. Guaguitas are the soft marshmallows shaped like little babies, mixed vanilla, strawberry, apricot and banana to a bag. Mentitas are the small white mints. Frugele is the big bag of assorted fruit gummies that turns up at every birthday. And the Old England toffees — buttery, in butterscotch, almond and coconut, plus a chocolate-covered version — have been in Chilean sweet shops for generations.

The gummies are a family of their own: Amberries are berry-shaped and rolled in crunchy candy beads, Loop is the sour one, Flipy the dolphins, and Ambrosito the classic gummy bears. We import the Chilean-made versions, so what arrives is what you remember. The range also runs past candy into dessert: Postre Suny and Postre de Sémola are box mixes that make eight to ten servings each.

Ambrosoli makes chocolate too — Golazo with its crisp shell and creamy centre, Chocolate Malva marshmallows under a chocolate coating, and the Loly Choc lollipop — all in our chocolate collection. The wider sweet shelf is in candy and snacks.

Preguntas más frecuentes

What is Ambrosoli best known for?
Suny caramels, Guaguitas marshmallows, Mentitas mints and the Old England toffees. Frugele fruit gummies and the berry-shaped Amberries are the other two people ask for by name.
What are Guaguitas?
Soft marshmallows shaped like little babies — guagua is the Chilean word for baby. Each bag mixes vanilla, strawberry, apricot and banana. Eat them from the bag, drop them on a dessert, or float one on hot chocolate.
What is the difference between Frugele, Amberries and Loop?
All three are Ambrosoli gummies. Frugele is the large assorted-fruit bag. Amberries are molded as raspberries and blackberries and rolled in tiny hard candy beads, so there is a light crunch before the chew. Loop is the sour one — jelly rings and wedges in a tangy coating.
Are these the Chilean versions?
Yes. Everything on this page is imported from Chile, not a US-market reformulation. The recipes and the packaging are the ones sold in Chilean stores.
